My Personal Mission

I started Therapy with Serenity because I am passionate about helping people. I am guided by my personal mantra which comes from Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

THE PAST IS PROLOGUE.
WHAT TO COME,
IN YOURS AND MY DISCHARGE!

This is important to me because I believe that every good moment, challenging moment, and painful moment of our lives has made us who we are today. Experiences teach us about ourselves, others, and the world. However, we are not slaves to our past. We have the opportunity to choose.

Where do I go from here?
What is important to me?
How do I want to live my life?
What do I choose today?

My goal is to help you uncover the answers to those questions and to be a guide in your pursuit of a life full of purpose and meaning.

Education and Experience

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Narrative Therapist specializing in co-occurring disorders. I received my MPS in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota and completed my internship hours with the nationally recognized Alltyr Clinic, providing co-occurring mental health and substance use services while learning from some of the best minds in the field. I completed my Narrative Therapy Certification with John Stillman through Caspersen Therapy and Training Center. I approach psychotherapy with a trauma-informed theory based on Narrative and Cognitive Behavioral therapies.

I currently provide Psychotherapy and Life Coaching and hope to start Support Groups and Book Clubs soon. I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds and have experience working with individuals, couples, and groups in treatment centers, outpatient clinics, and peer support groups both in-person and via telehealth. I collaborate with my clients, providing person-centered, evidence-based treatment for mental health and substance use disorders.
